Troy Jones

Troy Jones

In addition to co-writing Billy Currington’s #1, “People Are Crazy” with Bobby Braddock, Troy’s writing credits include Kenny Chesney’s “Shiftwork” and “Like Me”, and Joe Nichols’ “Shade.” Before becoming a full-time songwriter, Troy worked in a paper mill for twenty years, where it wasn’t long before his co-workers started calling him the “Fork Lift Philosopher”. He became enamored with country music when, as a boy, he would sit and listen to his dad spin records at a local AM radio station. Troy lives outside of Birmingham, Alabama.

One Response to “Troy Jones”

  1. Mike says:

I have a beer bet on this one:

In the song Pretty good at drinkin’ beer, is the line “Slappin’ on paint” or

    “Slappin’ on things?”

“Slappin’ on paint” makes sense to me, “Slappin’ on things” indicates Troy might

slap his dog or something! :-)

Al the lyrics sites say it is “Slappin’ on things” but I hope Troy sides with me. :-)

Great song and video in any case!!

    Thanks
