Lee Ann Womack, Waylon Payne, and Adam Wright nominated for Americana Fest “Song of the Year” award

Lee Ann Womack’s “All The Trouble” c0-written with Carnival writers Waylon Payne and Adam Wright was nominated for this year’s Americana Fest “Song of the Year” award. The winner will be announced September 12, 2018 at the Ryman Auditorium. Womack says “I wanted to make sure this record had a lot of soul in it, because real country music has soul. I wanted to remind people of that.”  Furthermore, Womack tells National Public Radio “I think it’s because there was nobody [involved] who was thinking about, ‘How are we gonna get this on the radio?’ Or, ‘How are we gonna make the record label happy?’ None of that was in the mix when we were recording or writing or anything. It was all about, ‘Let’s just capture real music, and what I feel like doing at the time.’”  And, these talented writers did just that. Congratulations Lee Ann Womack, Waylon Payne, and Adam Wright for your nomination.
